Privacy Policy

The app

Hashpane is a Markdown reader that runs entirely on your device.

• No data collection. Hashpane does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. Apple's App Privacy label for Hashpane is “Data Not Collected.”
• Remote images. If a document references an image hosted on the web, your Mac loads that image from its source when you open the document, the same as any reader. Hashpane never transmits your files or anything about you, and reaches the network for nothing else.
• No account. There is no sign-in, no profile, and no cloud sync.
• No analytics or telemetry. The app contains no usage tracking, crash beacons, or advertising SDKs.
• Sandboxed and read-only. Hashpane runs in Apple's App Sandbox and opens only the files you choose. It does not modify or write your files.

If you obtained Hashpane from the Mac App Store, your download is handled by Apple underApple's Privacy Policy; we do not receive your identity from Apple.

This website

hashpane.app is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Fonts are self-hosted.

Contact form

If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, and use them only to read and reply. We do not add you to any mailing list or share them.

The form is protected byCloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving check that may process your IP address and a challenge token to confirm you are human. SeeCloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Children

Hashpane is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
